Sri Lanka Army Task Force 3 found an LTTE underwater vehicle along with 3 other smaller underwater vehicles which are still under construction from the Udayarkattukulam area in Mullaittivu yesterday morning (Jan 28). Military sources said that this was the most startling recovery made by troops so far during the on going counter terrorist operations against the LTTE. Three suicide boats and a large haul of LTTE maritime equipment were also found at the location , the sources added.
It was located North East of the Iranamadu Reservoir where the captured air strip was found. The victory was achieved by soldiers of the 594th Brigade headed by Lt. Colonel Senaka Wijesuriya and under the guidance of Major Gen. Jagath Dias of the 59th Division. The troops earlier recovered several LTTE runways including those in Panikkankulam, Ampakamam, Pooneryn and Paranthan. Two days earlier, the troops seized an air strip built across the old Kandy Road.

True! Before our very eyes it exists. But the plight is that it only just exists. Just like the sea. Waves form; they bloat; rise high; dart towards the land; bash on the beach; disperse. Nothing left. The mighty wave that we so a minute ago is no more. Not even a sign of it is left.
However, there will be another wave coming up in a second. But the result will be the same. Our Democracy is just the same. Occasional waves occur. Then they rise high. Bloat. Yet, are dispersed in no time leaving nothing substantial. It just exists.To give life to Democracy. To activate it in our society. To assure our society is built on the pillars of democracy there is no other formula but this simple truth: Plant it within your self. Water it within your self. Let it grow within your self. Let it blossom within your self. And then the sweet scent of those flowers of democracy that is within you will spread across our world, beyond all possible borders, making the world a better place for you and for me. Democracy. It is within yourself.
